As you may have seen, these curtains are built up in a honeycomb structure. And a lot of dust can pile up in there. You can choose to blow out the dust yourself, but that’s a pretty exhausting job. Therefore, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush and try getting the dust down on both sides with low suction.

Do you have blinds in your house? We bet people keep telling you they are absolutely difficult to maintain? Well, it’s the opposite that’s true. It’s actually the type of window decoration that requires the least maintenance but you have to do it on a regular basis.

Do you notice any obstinate stains on your blinds? Then use a slightly damp cloth to remove it and do not – under any circumstances – use cleaning products for your wooden ones!
Ready? Tilt the slats in the other direction and start again.
This type of window decoration is also easy to clean by dusting the slats with a microfibre cloth. But, if you prefer a more thorough approach…
You can wash them in cold water by hand! It’s important to roll up the slats – do not fold! – and to have enough space to do so, for example in a bath tub.
The best way to clean your curtains, is taking them to the dry cleaner! Do you really want to do this yourself? Then wash them as shortly as possible on a low temperature with a fine washing program. However, keep in mind that they can shrink a little bit. In order to maintain their beautiful shape afterwards, you should hang them back in front of your windows while they’re still wet.
You can easily dust your roman blinds. But you can also wash them. First, remove the fabric from the velcro, remote the slats and loosen the cords. Then, wash at 30° without centrifugation and at the lowest setting. Avoid discoloration by not using any washing powder of laundry detergent.
